BC PNP Skills Immigration Points Calculator

Estimate your BC PNP registration score (out of 200) for the Skilled Worker stream, and check the main eligibility requirements, based on the BC PNP Skills Immigration Program Guide (June 2026).

1. Job offer & basic eligibility No points

These don't add points, but if any of them fail, a registration won't succeed no matter the score.

Not sure? Look up your job's 5-digit NOC code — the second digit is the TEER (e.g. 21231 is TEER 1).
See the ineligible occupations (not eligible for any Skills Immigration stream)

Administrative professionals

  • 12100 Executive assistants
  • 12101 Human resources and recruitment officers
  • 12200 Accounting technicians and bookkeepers
  • 13100 Administrative officers
  • 13110 Administrative assistants
  • 13111 Legal administrative assistants
  • 13112 Medical administrative assistants

Sales and service workers

  • 62010 Retail sales supervisors
  • 62020 Food service supervisors
  • 63101 Real estate agents and salespersons

Religious occupations

  • 41302 Religious leaders
  • 42204 Religious workers

Applies to applications submitted after June 13, 2026. What matters is the NOC your duties actually fall under, not your job title — a "coordinator" title doing administrative-officer duties is still NOC 13100.

Required for the Skilled Worker stream. Work done while on a study permit doesn't count (paid full-time co-op terms may, once you've graduated).

2. Directly related work experience Max 40

Paid experience in the same NOC as your B.C. job offer, within the last 10 years. Part-time counts at 50%.

3. Highest level of education Max 40

Completed programs longer than 6 months only. Canadian distance-education programs don't qualify.

Language-training (ESL) and distance-education programs don't earn these points.

4. Language proficiency Max 40

Points are based on your lowest result across the four abilities. Results must be less than 2 years old.

5. Hourly wage of your B.C. job offer Max 55

Base wage only — bonuses, commissions, tips, overtime and allowances don't count.

The job must average at least 30 hours a week. For salaries, BC PNP divides by no fewer than 30 and no more than 40 hours.
Enter a wage to see the hourly rate BC PNP will score.

6. Area of employment in B.C. Max 25

Where you regularly and physically report to work. If you work from home, it's your home address.

A score is only half the picture. Your NOC, your employer's eligibility, recruitment and genuine-need requirements are where most BC PNP files fall apart. Book an eligibility assessment with Sao Khadjieva, RCIC (R515185), and get a straight answer on whether — and how — to proceed.

There's no fixed pass mark. BC PNP invites candidates from the registration pool in periodic draws, and many draws target specific occupations or sectors rather than the highest scores. Check the Invitations to Apply page on WelcomeBC for recent draw results. Registrations expire after 12 months if not invited.

Health Authority stream: no registration or score is needed. Eligible health authority employees apply directly with their health authority's support.

Disclaimer: This calculator gives an estimate only, based on the BC PNP Skills Immigration Program Guide effective June 10, 2026. It doesn't check every requirement — including employer eligibility, local recruitment, genuine need for the position, and qualifications for the job. BC PNP verifies every claim at application, and overstated information can lead to refusal and a ban of up to two years. This is not legal advice.
