new crs Points Calculator - as of Nov 3, 2026

Marital Status

If your spouse or partner is a Canadian citizen or PR, or isn't coming with you, you're scored as if you're single.

Age and Education

Age on the date you're invited to apply. Foreign credentials need an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA).

Language Ability

Test results must be less than 2 years old. Points depend on your Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level in each ability.

Select the band that matches your score in each ability.

Canadian Work Experience

Paid, authorized, full-time (or equal part-time) work in a TEER 0, 1, 2 or 3 occupation in Canada within the last 10 years.

Add each job and how many months you worked in it. Extra points apply when you have 12 months or more in occupations on IRCC's high-wage list. The level is based on the national median wage for the NOC, not your own salary.

Job Offer

From November 3, 2026, a job offer no longer needs an LMIA. It earns points only if it's in a high-wage occupation, and an officer must be satisfied it's genuine.

Leave blank if you don't have a valid job offer.

Foreign Work Experience and Trades

Used for skill transferability points, combined with your language results and Canadian experience.

TEER 0, 1, 2 or 3, within the last 10 years.
Issued by a Canadian province or territory.

Spouse or Partner

Only counts if your spouse or partner is coming with you and is not a Canadian citizen or PR.

Additional Points

French-language points are calculated from your language results above.

You or your accompanying spouse have a brother or sister 18+ living in Canada who is a citizen or PR.
